I'm often given the title of mentor due to the relationships/bonds I build. Equipped with a strong foundation in psychological principles and human behaviour, combined with specialised training in coaching and mentoring techniques. Guiding individuals or groups to achieve personal or professional goals by leveraging their understanding of motivation, mindset, and interpersonal dynamics. With my psychology background, I am able to provide evidence-based, empathetic, tailored support, structured and goal-oriented strategies.

Working with professional athletes but not exclusively, my approach is person centred,
which means I hold the view of a person's profession is not the main factor in their development, it is a contextual factor that makes up an overall development.
The one thing was this.... Life gives you challenges, conflict and disruption. That's a given, but how you respond to it matters, and it is a choice. Through my own journey of adversity and transformation,
I’ve learned that obstacles are not the barriers we often perceive them to be. Building a healthy, balanced life requires the same level of commitment to maintaining it.
True change stems from developing strong habits and challenging our own perspectives.
What is mentoring?
It is a development and support approach that uses a mix blend of advice, guidance as well as questioning with the principles of mutual trust.
Mentoring is a develop tool often not understood and used well in the UK. I have combined my learning in psychology, neuroscience, counselling skills, coaching/mentoring and trauma-informed knowledge
to provide mentorship that is outcome-based, therapeutic and grounded in science for a psychological and contextualised approach

It is a support approach that uses a mix blend of advice, guidance as well as questioning with the principles of mutual trust. Mentoring is a person - centred approach and coaching is performance centred. Using both approaches allows my approach to be holistic and bespoke to the individuals I serve.
While both coaching and mentoring is not regulated in the UK just like other support fields like counselling, mentoring is a developmental tool often not understood and used in correctly. My mentorship is centred around various frameworks to build or maintain the areas highlighted below.

My mentorship is designed to offer a safe and confidential space for self-motivated individuals that need a sounding bound, accountability and space to ensure they keep thriving.

When navigating pressures and expectations, we tend to focus on the challenge and not the goal we are working on. End of 2023, my 8 years of habits had a chance to shine when I underwent emergency surgery due to a perforated appendix and bowel. At the end of surgery, surgeons didn't think I would pull through, and for a moment, I almost didn't, but woke up with an ostomy and loss of 30% lung capacity. My lifestyle & habits of meditation, understanding of recovery and self supported me building back my strength and be able to continue my vision of widening the understanding of the importance of personal development, and it's consistent focus it should have in one's life, away from the stigma and shame about having support.
My work is not just through my mentorship, in front of my own development is to ensure I am the healthiest support practitioner I can be which involves engaging in my personal development, having a support mechanism/outlet as well as working in areas that I enjoy.

Pillars of change - four steps of performance & change - Working with athletes holds a special part of my heart one because track was one of my first loves but due to injury, lack of support as well as pathway options at that time I deviated from that path. While I worked in education in pastoral roles I saw first hand the lack of support players in academies had, while all sports have progressed, there is still a lot of work to do with taking the stigma out of accessing support and how we use it.
